The Detroit Pistons clinched their first NBA Playoffs appearance since 2019 on Friday, and Jalen Duren feels their historic comeback season could yet end in glory.
Last season, Detroit finished with the worst record in the league, only winning 14 games.
But Friday's 117-105 victory over the Toronto Raptors improved them to 43-34 for this term and guaranteed they will participate in the postseason for the first time in six years.
No team has ever gone from a worse record than Detroit's 14-68 last campaign to a playoff berth the following season.
But Duren, who had 21 points and 18 rebounds on Friday, believes they can still accomplish more.
"People doubted us," Duren said. "They didn't believe. They thought it would take longer for us to turn this thing around, but we're here.
"We're not done yet. We're going to take a moment to enjoy what we've accomplished, but it's only milestones.
"The real goal, obviously, is to bring championships back to our city."

First-year head coach J.B. Bickerstaff was willing to reflect on how far the team had come, though, saying: "It's a big deal.
"We typically don't take time to reflect on where we are, but this is an opportunity for this group to reflect on where it is, where it's come from and what it's been able to accomplish together.
"To turn it around the way they have and put themselves in this position to play in the postseason, it's a big deal."
The Pistons are fifth in the Eastern Conference, with a three-game gap between them and the Indiana Pacers in fourth, after they routed the Utah Jazz 140-112 on Friday.
Seven Indiana players were in double figures for points, led by Myles Turner's 26 and Pascal Siakam's 22. Tyrese Haliburton had 17 points and 11 assists.
